Summary

Details

The user is working with managed data within the Solid Edge Embedded Client (SEEC) environment.  They have the Preference SEEC_Image_Generate_PDF_for_Draft set to TRUE so that a PDF document of a Solid Edge Draft file is generated and added to the Item Revision when it is uploaded to Teamcenter.

However, when saving a Draft with multiple sheets the PDF that is generated contains only the active sheet from when the Item Revision was uploaded.

PDF as viewed within Teamcenter shows only the active sheet from the multiple sheet draft

According to the description of the preference, all sheets should be saved within the PDF file:

"Generate a PDF for each Draft and attach it to the Item Revision as a separate Dataset. This PDF would be the 2D neutral file and would include all draft sheets. This file could then be used by Portal Visualization for Markup and Reviews."

Solution

This is not a SEEC issue - it is due to the PDF save setting.

You need to launch Solid Edge and turn off SEEC/Teamcenter.

Now in unmanaged Solid Edge get or create a new draft file and do a "Save as translated".  Set the file type to PDF and in the options define the save options as "All sheets".

Back in the SEEC managed environment, upload the Item Revision to Teamcenter.  Now when the PDF is opened from within Teamcenter it will show all sheets of the draft.

All sheets are now seen within the PDF
