Solid Edge When resizing detail view with a dimension it jumps to a different position

The user creates a drawing of a part and defines a detail view - the detail envelope is not constrained to any of the part edges.  They then apply a radial dimension for the detail view profile.

The profile will jump to another part of the Drawing View.

Solution

This is working as designed.  The geometry of the detail envelope is not constrained to any of the Drawing View edges and in this case Auto-Scale Sketch is turned on - that is why it moves as it does.
