Solid Edge Part disappears in draft with cut hardware on

A user creates a drawing from an assembly of a part.  They then create a Cutting Plane and Section. 

In the Drawing View properties of the Section view they uncheck 'Cut hardware'.

They then toggle on 'Section only' in the ribbon bar and update the Drawing View.

The geometry disappears from the Drawing View.

Solution

'Section Only' will generate a section drawing view containing only the edges of the cut faces and then add the fill accordingly.  In this case there is only a single hardware part.  If you do not 'Cut hardware' there will be no cut faces created. The part is not sectioned.  Consequently, the 'Section Only' cannot find any cut faces from which to generate the drawing view edges.
