2-Bend Close Corner results in geometry that adversely impacts Flat pattern

PART/SHEETMETAL
Summary
Details
A 3D part is imported from a translated file and is transformed to a sheet metal part in Solid Edge.
The user wants to change the corners with 2-Bend Corner. Before they do this, the Flat Pattern is correct. After the 2-Bend Corner is applied, the geometry of the second bend - adjacent to the flange - does not look clean.
Furthermore, when the Flat Pattern is updated, a 'step face' is created which means that it cannot be lasered. So they are unable create a DXF of it.
Solution
Chained Close Corner is unsupported. Close corner features in Solid Edge are currently supported only for the first level starting with the connected bends corner. Therefore, it ignores the corners/plates below - the bend adjacent to the bottom flange in our example - which are unconnected, resulting in the 'step faces'.
The workaround would be to flatten the part, then use the cutout feature in the Flat Pattern environment to remove the 'step face' or add material using the Tab command to make it flush with the existing bend.
