Solid Edge weldments are not visualized by default in the Teamcenter viewer.  This document will help you to configure Teamcenter and Teamcenter Rapid Start so that weld beads are visualized in the RAC viewer.

Solid Edge Assembly Weldment features are using an Element type to attach the geometry as JT. You can use a pre-configured Element type (eg. ParProductInterface) or create your own.  In this example I will create a new Element type. 
 


1. Define an Item Element Type in Teamcenter


In the BMIDE search for "ProductInterface"

Create a new element type (RMB -> New Business Object)

Click Add to add a View List


2.  Modify SEEC_Asm_Weldment_Feature_Type 


Add the new element type as value.

Test the result

 


Create an assembly, mark as Weldment Assembly.

Create some weld beads.
Save and upload to Teamcenter.

In the RAC open the Structure Manager. 
In the Structure Manager the weld beads are listed.

The weld beads are now visualized in the Graphics pane.

Teamcenter Rapid Start (TcRS) Note: 
 
This will work without additional configuration for Teamcenter. However for TcRS the element types are suppressed by default. To make this work you need to modify the TC preference  Hide_Types_For_Create


Remove these four entries from this preference list:


parproductinterface
productinterface
interfaces
GeneralDesignElement
