Solution

If you don't define an asterisk for searching the item like "0000" then the system will try to search the exact Item with the ID "0000" and if you want other items results as well you must define it as "0000*" i.e. with an asterisk to get the other results where Item ID started with "0000".
The results starting from later MP releases of NX 11.0.2 is correct application behavior
