How does it work?

Solution

This environment variable UGII_CHARACTER_FONT_DEFAULT is only applicable when the font cannot be found in the defined font folders. 


Refer to the below cases for more information.




Case-1


However, user define fonts to use as NX Fonts Only in [Customer Defaults] 

and set Standard Font (Arial)" as common text in [Customize Standard].

And Specify UGII_CHARACTER_FONT_DEFAULT as kanji to ugii_env.dat. or set the variable as shown in the image.

It displays the default font as "Kanji".

Case-2.


However, users define fonts use as Standard and NX Fonts in [Customer Defaults].

Display default font as "Arial"

Because set Standard Font (Arial)" as common text in [Customize Standard].

Case-3.


However, user define fonts use as NX Fonts Only in [Customer Defaults] 

And set NX Font (ideas_kanji)" as common text in [Customize Standard].

Display default font as "ideas_kanji".
