How to open the drawing files in other items using "Open Related Drawing" functionality. "Open Related Drawing' does not open the non-master drawing file, which is added as a "Reference Only" component in the assembly.
Solution
The workflow wherein, creating a base view of other parts by Open (In Base View command in Drafting application), is not supported in "Open Related Drawing" functionality. When you create a base view by selecting other parts (By Open), this creates a drafting component in the UGPART. This drafting component is added as a reference component in the UGPART. This functionality does not work for reference components.

000634 UGMASTER When you select "Open Related Drawing" on this, it lists the below drawings.

000634 UGPART (non-master drawing)
000636 UGMASTER (master drawing) So in all the above scenarios, the master part "000634" is added as the direct component of the UGPART and UGMASTER of other parts. So you need to have the required UGMASTER as the direct component (not as the reference component), to work this functionality.
