Summary

Details

When the user wants to open Solid Edge HELP they get the message 'Solid Edge could not navigate to web-served help.  An option on the Helpers tab of the Solid Edge Options dialog box lets you control where Solid Edge looks for the help server...'

The above message appears although the user has not defined any help server which means Help should be opened at Solid Edge Support Center.

Solution

One possible reason for this is Internet Explorer 11 either not being installed or not being turned on.

  • When running Solid Edge 2021 you must have Internet Explorer 11 installed as a prerequisite.
  • It also has to be turned on using 'Turn Windows Features on or off'.

Notes and References

  • Internet Explorer is not required to be the default browser.
  • The language setting of your default browser determines the language of HELP.
