Example:
You have a Node Locked License of Solid Edge and you are currently working with Solid Edge 2019 but would like to test Solid Edge 2021, before making the decision to upgrade all your machines.
Solution
The easiest way to do this is to switch one Node Locked License to Cloud Enabled.
This way you can assign a Webkey to the Cloud Enabled license and install any other machine with Solid Edge 2021. Then you can start the Solid Edge License Utility and select the Option:
" I am Cloud enabled".
Once you the start Solid Edge 2021, you will be prompted to enter your Webkey and Password that you assigned to the Cloud Enabled License.
In this way you can run with one Node Locked License two different versions of Solid Edge, but always only one at a time. Furthermore, you do not need to make any changes in your production environment.
If you want to switch back from Cloud Enabled License to Node Locked License, this will then require you to contact Support Center, because a customer is not allowed to switch back by themselves.
