NX is not performing as expected on one or multiple machines. What needs to be done to make sure everyting is setup correctly concerning hardware and drivers?
Solution
Optimal Performance from Your Machine When Running NX. V2
The list of vendor's certified machines including the graphics adapters for those machines can be found on the "Graphics Certification Table" spreadsheet. Once the spreadsheet is opened, refer to the tab at the bottom called "Certification Matrix". This page includes a complete list of hardware vendors machines, the graphics adapters (card) that are supported by the hardware vendors in those machines plus which Operating System they support.
Note that only certified machines, and never individual hardware components, are certified. Hardware vendor's machines are not shipped with the latest certified graphics driver installed and it is left up to the new hardware owner to download and install the certified graphics driver. This complete certified package was determined by the hardware vendor and should provide a stable and accurate image when using NX.
To ensure optimal performance for the certified machines, download the latest graphics driver from the graphics hardware manufacturers web site, either Nvidia or AMD, and install it. Make sure to download the driver for the workstation class graphics adapter and not the gaming adapter.
The spreadsheet is on the PLMS page at:

Certified Graphics Driver:
Running the latest graphics driver should work without any problems.
Follow these steps if there is a problem with the display, selection, etc. while running NX with the latest graphics driver already installed.
1. Download the very latest Graphics Driver. If already installed, contact PLMS (formally GTAC) for additional instructions.
2. Uninstall the current driver using (Windows 10 & later) 'Start -> Apps and Features -> Apps & Features (section) -> remove all AMD or NVidia drivers, desktop manager, etc. Reboot the machine if prompted and the driver will not usually uninstall until it is the last driver remaining.
3. Reboot the machine and then install the new driver.
4. Confirm in the (Windows 10 & later) Start -> (search if needed) Control Panel -> large/small icons -> System -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters -> (double select) graphics adapter -> (tab) driver -> "Driver Version".
Note that the last five numbers of the Nvidia driver package should match the last five digits listed in the driver excluding decimal point locations.
3DConnexion Driver (very important):
3DConnexion devices like the SpaceMouse, CadMouse, etc. must always have their drivers installed or re-installed after installing that latest main release of NX on a machine, even if it is the exact same driver already installed on the machine. 3DConnexion drivers have binaries that are specific to each release of NX and therefore must always be installed after changing to a different release of NX. Using incompatible or not installed in the correct sequence driver and NX combinations have been known to cause problems when the 3Dconnexion driver is not installed after NX. A wide variety of problems has been known to manifest up to six months after all software and drivers were installed and the driver was not properly installed.
Three Button Mouse, Trackball, etc. corded or wireless driver:
The most stable and easy solution for conventional mice is to use the generic Microsoft HID (Human Interface Device) mouse diver, regardless if corded or wireless.
Corded mice will have one instance of the HID driver installed, while wireless will have two instances installed.
General Driver Notes;
The graphics, 3DConnexion and mouse drivers must all interact with each other and following the above procedures will ensure a stable and accurately displaying machine.
PLMS or your NX support should be contacted if any problems occur with a certified configuration.
Fine tuning the Graphics by Testing within NX:
Within the NX ribbon interface select: 'File -> Preferences -> Visualization -> Calibration -> (expand) Tune Graphics -> (press) Tune to Device'.
This will allow NX to test the machine and the graphics driver to ensure it is working optimally. This will take several minutes and to run successfully the user should not do anything on the machine while it is running, otherwise the test will be invalid and need to be ran again.
