When using commands requiring a dialog, Solid Edge acts as if it is locked up and will not respond.
Solution
This can happen when you have a laptop with a docking station at your office and multiple monitors. When taking the laptop home, the other monitors are not present. If you move a dialog off to another monitor than that of the laptop, the dialog is still displayed, but off of the available screen space. The product appears to be locked up because the dialog requires the user to select a button to dismiss it to return to the product.
Examples are the Material Table dialog or the Cache dialog.
When a dialog fails to appear and Solid Edge "locks up," use the following Windows keyboard shortcut to bring the dialog into view:
Windows Key + Shift + Arrow Key Left/Right
This should attach the dialog to your cursor. Just click to place it on the visible screen to return to normal functioning.
