When extracting the MindConnect Nano/MindConnect IoT 2040 onboarding key from MindSphere we are missing the IAT token when attempting to onboard our device again. Why is the onboarding key missing?
Solution
The IAT token will be missing from the onboarding key if the device is still actively onboarded in MindSphere. To re-onboard a device, you will need to make sure the device is first properly offboarded.
A good way to know if the device is offboarded is that you will have a blinking green light next to the onboarding status, and the "offboard" button shown in the image below will be grayed out. If it is not, please make sure the device is offboarded before extracting a new onboarding key by clicking the offboard button in the image below.
