NX Customizing an SPF Cycle in the NX CSE Sinumerik Subprog Folder

The Sinumerik CYCLE800 sub program needs to be customized so that the NX machine simulation kit matches the actual NC controller. All of the Sinumerik Cycles are encrypted in the SinumerikSL_Cycles_47_SP2_HF1.cyc file, though. How can the cycle800.spf, or someother SPF file for that matter, be setup to overwrite the encrypted file?

Solution

The files within the SinumerikSL_Cycles_47_SP2_HF1.cyc file cannot be customized. This is not allowed for legal reasons. The customer can add his own cycle800.spf, for example, to the subprog folder of the machine kit. If duplicate SPF files exist in the SinumerikSL_Cycles_47_SP2_HF1.cyc and the subprog folder than the one with the newest time stamp wins. CYCLE SPF files can be download from the NC controller.
