NX Importing a drawing from a Master Model under the Master

When a Master is a component of a drawing file, how can you import the drawing file such that it will exist under the Master?

Solution

Import Assembly into Teamcenter --> Select Assemblies or Parts --> select the drawing file --> OK.


In the dialog, set the drawing Relation Type to Specification:

Set the Dataset Name:

Double-clicking will use the Object name:

 


Set a Default Destination Folder and OK:


 

If the component already exists in the Teamcenter database, set the following in the dialog prior to OK:
