Details
When creating special characters such as the Diameter symbol, Plus/minus, etcetera using Windows Alt codes, these special symbols are not being displayed correctly on the NX drawing sheet; they appear garbled or just a simple square:
Solution
Windows Alt code symbols will only show in the NX drafting application when the Font setting is using a Windows font (like Arial), and not with a NX font (like Blockfont).

Hint: How to create special characters using Window Alt code? Hold down the Alt key while type in certain numbers from the numeric keypad on the keyboard. (numbers must be typed in using numeric keypad)
