NX Importing technical data package Templates in teamcenter.

User getting the alert "Technical data package template folder is empty", while publishing technical data package and the imported templates are not visible in the dialog.

Solution

Starting from NX1926, Technical Data Package Templates need to be in the Teamcenter database. (It will no longer refer to the templates at the NX installation location)
 You need to specify the Teamcenter folder location, which includes all the template part files. (In Customer Defaults)
To import the default templates from the NX installation folder and specify the respective folder location in customer defaults.

You can import the templates using one of the below methods:

1.Import manually using the "Import Assembly into Teamcenter" command in NX with the below settings.

Make sure that "Publish Optional Information" is enabled.


2.Import using the standard template batch file using below switch:
tcin_template_setup.bat -u=[User Name] -p=[User Password] -app=tdp
