NX Connection OPC-DA to SIMATIC NET: symbols with forward-slash " / " are not recognized.

When connecting SIMATIC NET / TESP 7 to NX MCD using OPC DA server, then all symbols in STEP 7 which contain a forward slash " / " in the name, are not recognized by NX (in External Signal Configuration dialog).

Solution

Do not use a forward slash in the symbol names. It will just not be recognized in NX MCD as Tag in External Signal Configuration and Signal Mapping. Currently (NX 1926 series), MCD use a " / " as separator of the path.
