NX PLMXML fails to load when opening Solid Edge file in CAM Pro

The latest version of Solid Edge was just installed. The latest version of NX CAM Pro cannot open a part file saved in this version of Solid Edge, though. How can NX be made compatible?

Solution

This happens because the final PLMXML adapter is published very late in the Solid Edge release. It is not possible to have it put into the latest Solid Edge CAM Pro release.

1. Open the Solid Edge Program directory.
2. Copy the file plmxmlAdapterSE70.dll.
3. Open the CAM Pro NXBIN directory.
4. Rename the old plmxmlAdapterSE70.dll file.
5. Paste the plmxmlAdapterSE70.dll file to replace the older version.
