SmartInstaller does not start with Machinery or Piping Library V18.00 (v18.00 comes with Solid Edge 2021). The message 'The selected database is invalid. Select a correct one.' is displayed instead. Standard Parts in general are up and running but it is not possible to add parts from the V18.00 libraries because of above message.
Solution
The message "Invalid database, select the correct one" might be shown when one or more of following problems occur:

The language of the DDB (Delivery Database) does not match the current database language setting. See the "Language" registry under \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Siemens\Standard Parts and make sure it reflects the correct language (as OS and Solid Edge). Settings are:
1 - German
2 - English
3 - French
4 - Italian
5 - Spanish
6 - Russian
7 - Japanese
8 - Korean
9 - Chinese Traditional
10 - Chinese Simplified
11 - Hungarian
12 - Polish
13 - Czech

'Microsoft SQL Server * Express LocalDB for SE' is not installed. You will find it in the installation folder ...\StandardPartsAdministrator_2021_*\Standard Parts Administrator\ISSetupPrerequisites. Make sure it is installed on the system that runs Standard Parts Administrator.

MS SQL Server LocalDB 2017 (new version with SE2021) was installed AND the former MS SQL Server localDB 2012 was uninstalled. If so, please try to find this in registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\UserInstances\{GUID}
Is there this record?

This might be a problem: The localDB 2012 (internally MSSQL11E.LOCALDB) was uninstalled, but due to this leftover the system is always trying to connect to this version.
The solution might be to delete this registry subfolder (in my case, for example, the folder {F0F41B64-115D-494C-9501-D35F1B2C840A} and all its content).
Restart Standard Parts Administrator and then try again to add parts from the delivery database (DDB).
