In this scenario, the user opens a Solid Edge Simulation study and clicks on the Mesh command.
However, no Mesh command window is opened.
There are a number of things to check:
-Firstly, verify that the scratch folder is available and that the user does have write permissions to the folder.
-Secondly, perform one start of Solid Edge with Administrator permissions - Right Mouse Button - Run as administrator.
After this Solid Edge can be run with regular User permissions
As mentioned in the "readme.htm": "The first login performed after the reboot should be completed by the administrator account to ensure that the install is complete."
-Thirdly, run the "femapapi.exe" located in the following file path: "C:\Program Files\Siemens\Solid Edge 2024\Simulation\x64"
When you click the mesh button a hidden Femap process (femapapi.exe) starts. Launch task manager, press the mesh button and then check if the process "Simcenter Femap" is getting started.
-Lastly:
In Windows open 'Printers & Scanners'.
Toggle the setting 'Let windows manage my default printer' - if it ON turn it OFF and vice versa.
Restart the computer.
After this the Mesh windows should work as expected.
