Customer inherited an assembly from another customer, when they attempt to add an Assembly Constraint NX raises a Product Interface alert when an object is selected.
"The geometry that you have chosen is not a product interface for the part, {part name}, This part is set to encourage the user of interface objects"
Solution
The alert is raised when a component has Product Interface assigned to an object in the component part, and the other component does not have Product Interface assigned.
To remove the product interface from the component, make the component the displayed part and go to Tools --> Product Interface and select the solid body or face in the dialog window and select the Remove button, then OK... The Product Interface objects can also be selected from the Part Navigator under the Product Interface folder.
