Solid Edge AddToTeamcenter Interactive import not starting

Summary


Details

AddToTeamcenter Interactive [ATTi] will not import selected files. 

The files are selected and required properties are filled in ATTi.


Validation tells us everything is okay and ready for the import; when we press "Perform Action" the import dialog does not pop up and there is no error displayed in ATTi.


The ATTi logfile contains this error message:


"Add to Teamcenter process (TcE_Import) was UNSUCCESSFUL for one or more files. Error code.80040703"






Solution

For this issue we found that the path or folder name to the file was too long and contained too many characters.

Moving the file to another folder with a much shorter path name resolves the issue.
