After onboarding a new MindConnect agent and adding agent variables, all my variables have a red Health Status

Solution

During the onboarding process, you were presented the following form in the Production Interface. When you uncheck the DHCP, you configured your MindConnect device for a static network

NOTE: when you uncheck the DHCP option, the default text for all fields is 127.0.0.1

You have to verify/enter the IPv4 Address, Subnet Mask, and DNS Server, so the default text does not end up being part of your configuration.  To prevent unintended 127.0.0.1 from being in your configuration, you can inspect the configuration file before onboarding your MindConnect device. The configuration is in JSON format, which is a human-readable format.

If the default text becomes part of your configuration and it is not a valid entry, it will cause issues connecting to the production data source, and your Health Status will remain red until you fix the issue.

Notes

I've looked at 9840771, and tried different scenarios for IPv4 Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS Server. When I check DHCP and save, all of the values does not exist in the configuration files. I believe that his setting was static. DHCP is incapable of having any values in the configuration.

Scenario 1: Configured all 4 fields in Static. Then I clicked on DHCP, and no values from the 4 fields were saved.

Scenario 2: Configured all 4 fields in Static. Then saved. Finally, I clicked on DHCP, and no values from the 4 fields were saved.
