Solid Edge Copying Windows message dialogs to clipboard

Are you tired of rewriting the content of Windows message dialogs to have the exact wording?

Sometimes you need the exact wording of a message in a pop-up window to either search for it in Support Center ( https://support.sw.siemens.com/ ), communicate it to colleagues, or to create an Incident Report.

Solution

In Solid Edge you can copy such messages to clipboard using CTRL+ C.

In the moment the message pops up and the message window is still active (colored window header) use CTRL + C to copy the contents to clipboard and then re use the message in subsequent searches and reportings.

Above window is not active, hence the contents cannot be copied to clipboard.

Above window is active and CTRL + C results in the contents being copied to clipboard. The contents is:
