Summary

Details

Ship line styles do not show after setting the Customer Default "Use Ship Line Styles". E.g. Railway font is missing as Line Style Font in Edit Object Display dialog:
Also Settings dialog for View in Drafting:

See documentation:  Choose Line Style File
See What's New: New line styles for ship drawings

Solution

It might be needed to load the customer-default font into existing files. This will also load the RAILWAY symbol into the partfile.

If Customer Default "Use Ship Line Styles" is set and you do not see the Ship Line Style Font, then load the line-font first into the part:

  1. Choose "File --> Utilities --> Choose Line Style Font..."
  2. Use Customer Default
  3. Now test if the font is available.

Notes and References

A new file, based on a template, uses it's own line-font and therefore might not see the Railway.

A new part-file using "Blank" as template does build the part from scratch, based on the customer defaults and will inherit the line-font as set in customer default. Therefore a new blank part show the RAILWAY font and RAILWAY symbol directly.

This behavior is the same for following Ship Line Types:
 - Long Dashed Double Dotted
 - Undulating
 - Zigzag
 - Railway
