The user has a drawing of a part in an ISO view. They apply a 3D dimension for the length of the part, yet when they compare it with a similar view also containing a length dimension, it is observed that the values are different.
Solution
The reason is that the ISO view contains a broken view, which in this case has been applied above the geometry - indicating that it may have been mistakenly created or inadvertently moved away from the geometry. Either way the user is not aware of it unless they select the Drawing View and 'Show Broken view'.
Deleting the Broken View the correct value for the dimension is now shown. This is working as designed. Broken Views is not supported with 3D dimensions on Drawing Views regardless of whether or not it cuts the geometry.
