NX nxmgr, opening jt, object doesn't exist

  - In NX Manager, unable to open a DirectModel dataset.
  - Error message of
      Error - object does not exist.

  - NX syslog shows

*** EXCEPTION: Error code  920002 in ...\ui_ugmgr_part_input.c ...
+++ Failed to open OS file ...

Solution

  - In Teamcenter, the value for the preference
      TC_NX_Foreign_Datasets

    had the wrong double quote character.

  - After *typing* in the value

DatasetType="DirectModel" NamedReference="JTPART" NamedReferenceFormat="BINARY" NamedReferenceTemplate="jt"

    for this preference, File --> Open in NX/Manager was successful.

  If you prefer to copy and paste, you may want use Notepad,
  instead of MSWord file or PDF file.

  You may also see the following multicad error

   The following files could not be loaded, causing this open to fail:
      ... (multi-CAD: ..) - The multi-CAD dataset is empty; create or import some data and try again.
