ASSEMBLY DRAFT

Summary

Details

If a part document with a link to another file is opened in Solid Edge the 'Links' dialog (Application Button > Info > Edit Links) shows a 'Break Links' button to disconnect the link from the source file.

If an assembly or a draft document with a link to another file is opened, the 'Links' dialog does not offer this 'Break Links' button.  Therefore how can any links be deleted/removed in assembly and draft documents?

Solution

Links in assembly and draft documents can be removed through the 'Binder' dialog (Application Button > Info > Binder).  After selecting the linked document in this dialog, hit the 'Delete' key and when prompted with "Delete the selected object?" question, click the 'Yes' button to remove the link.
