NX How to create altrep for an assembly file while revision compare.

While creating altrep file for an assembly during "Prepare for Compare", getting error "No geometry available to compare".

Solution

The procedure to create the Altrep file in an assembly file is described below.
In your case, make sure that "Enable Multiple Revisions' is set in the customer defaults file.

Now make sure that you are saving the assembly with the precise structure.
Else select the revision rule as "As Saved" in the assembly Load Options dialog.

Now load both the revisions of the assembly. (both revisions A and B)
Change the part window to revision "B".
Now launch the "Prepare for Compare", enter the Altrep Name and select OK, this will generate the altrep under revision 'B". (which is having geometry of revision "A")
