Summary

Details

This is a working NX cam setup in Teamcenter.  When a new revision of the design part is available, the cam assembly correctly updates to use this new component and the operations go out of date as expected.

Hole making operations cannot be updated.  They can be regenerated (either from the dialog or from the toolbar/right click) and get the correct path, but the Operation Navigator will remain stuck with the red circle out of date icon for the operations.  These operations cannot be approved, either, once they are verified to have the updated path in them.  The only way to get an up to date operation is to delete the original and rebuild the operation from scratch.

Solution

On the NX side, it is advised to fully load all components in the assembly load options and read all levels of interpart data, i,e,

We want to make sure that NX can resolve any model, linked body, and similar changes in the cam setup assembly that are triggered by the new part revision.

With all the interpart data loaded, the hole making operations in this setup would regenerate and retain that correct status in the Operation Navigator.
