In the process on creating a track using the discrete drivetrain element the track segment motion bodies are moved from their reference position to a location along the track path. Although this new position is correct for building the functional track, it can be difficult to adjust the motion bodies and connections while the full track is constructed.
In the example below the track segment motion bodies are placed partially on the straight section and partially on the curved section of the track path. This means that it can be difficult to define the location and orientation of the connections between the two motion bodies.
Solution
Go to the Assembly Navigator and find the components that make up the track segment motion bodies. Right click on these components and select the "Remove Position Override" option. This will remove the influence of the discrete drivetrain element from the location of the motion bodies and they will return to the same position in which they are set in the master part file.
It will now be easier to make adjustments to these components in their reference position. In order to place them back into the track, simply open the track element and select "Build Pattern Instances" from the Pattern tab.
