I want to add a barcode to my drawings. How can I accomplish this in Solid Edge Drafting?
Solution
Solid Edge currently does not provide barcode functionality within drawings. However, you can add barcodes to your drawings by downloading and installing a barcode TrueType font.
There are many free barcode fonts available for download. Simply search the internet " font Code 3of9". One suitable result is the following font:
After downloading and installing this barcode font it is then possible to add barcodes to your Solid Edge draft files by using the text commands in Solid Edge with the barcode font:Note: The use of third party barcodes is not a function of Solid Edge and as such is not supported by GTAC. Any issues with barcode fonts should be directed to the developer of the barcode font.
