Tecnomatix Quality Management DPV: Configuration Explorer error

After installing DPV_ETL, when invoking the "DPV Enterprise Configuration Explorer", a message pops-up that states the following: "Access to path E:\Siemens\DPVETLENT\Applications\DPV\TaskConfig.xml" is denied. 

When attempting to make a change to a panel in the "DPV Enterprise Configuration Explorer" and then attempt to save, receiving a security window from Iexplore.exe which demands my credentials. Upon entering my valid credentials (and my credentials are in the Administrators group on the server), nothing happens. 

Solution

Do these two things in IE settings:

1. Add localhost into trusted sites

2. In User Authentication -> Logon -> check option for: Automatic logon with current username and password
