NX Assembly not Fully Loaded in NX when loaded from Structure Manager

Assembly sent from Teamcenter Structure Manager to NX is not loading any child components


When an assembly is being sent to NX from Teamcenter Structure Manager by highlighting just the assembly line, the result of the NX load shows only the selected assembly file is loaded; all its children components are not loaded. This behavior is different when compared to loading the assembly from My Teamcenter, which follows the Assembly Load Options selected in NX.

Solution

The following Teamcenter preferences determine how the assembly is loaded in NX from Teamcenter Structure Manager:

BOMWriterNoDescendantsInPLMXML
Determines whether descendants (children and grandchildren) of selected BOM lines are included when NX is launched from Teamcenter Structure Manager.

Set to TRUE: descendants are not included.
Set to FALSE: descendants are included.
Default is TRUE.
