How to export the Created/Applied filters in the "Assign Material" dialog to a new OS/User.
Solution
User can create/Apply filters in the "Assign Material" dialog:
(1)Menu > Tools > Materials > Assign Materials...
(2)Blank space > MB3.
(3)Create Filter... > Created filter.
These filters can be exported to a different OS/User as;
Till NX12.0.2, this information is stored in the user registry.
So you need to export this registry key and then re-import that key in the new OS.
The regitry key which will store this information is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\NX11.0\General\MaterialList
From NX1847 onwards, this information will be stored in the Local User temp folder in the file "UserPreferences.txt".
Like,
C:\Users\patilsac\AppData\Local\Siemens\NX1847
So replacing this file in the new OS will export the filters.
