How to extract outer surfaces of an assembly excluding inner components?

Solution

1.Check OFF "Allow Multi Select of Hidden Bodies and Faces"


2.window-select all the components 


3.Execute "Hide" (i.e. Ctrl+B)


4.Execute "Invert Shown and Hidden" (i.e. Ctrl+Shift+B)


5. Execute "Wave Geometry Linker" with the below selections


 select Type as "Face" and Face Option as "Body Faces" and check ON "Hide Original"


6. Create a Section and now notice the outer surfaces of the assembly is extracted excluding inner components
