Clearance analysis calculates using lightweight geometry even if "Exact" is selected

Cases:
 A: Calculate Using:Lightweight
  B: Calculate Using:Exact

why both cases produce the same results ?

Solution

"Performing clearance analysis in either mode (Exact or Lightweight) produces the same penetration depth/Distance" is correct behavior.

The mode configures the accuracy of the list of interferences between objects. Lightweight mode uses faceted geometry to quickly perform the actual analysis, and may over- or under-report interferences. Exact mode is more expensive as it uses solid geometry to perform the actual analysis, and will report the exact number of interferences.

Both Lightweight and Exact modes use faceted geometry to quickly calculate penetration depth/Distance, and this is why both produce the same results for this column.
