How to run "attribute_set.exe".

Solution

This is how it works -

attribute_set.exe -object "part_file_name (assembly if using list of attribute files)" "list of attribute files separated by space" (one of the example can be found in step203ug kit directory - obj_attribute.template)

This will prompt the user to enter the object number (component) to which it will set the attributes. Please see snapshot below -


there are example files available in STEP203UG directory of the NX installation. Name of the example files are "obj_attribute.template" and "part_attribute.template".

Note: For Individual parts don't use -object switch.

ATTRIBUTE_LIST utility:
This utility lists all the attributes of the components as a output text file.
The syntax of the command is:

This outputs the attribute file for each components.
