In Fastener Assembly what is the effect of changing from "Top Stacks" to "Bottom Stacks".
Solution
If you are having a drawing file with Reference only component as shown in below snap and if you want to export these reference only components along with the Drawing file then kindly follow below steps-
All the Screws/Bolts should belong to the "Bolts and Screws" fastener type. And all the Nuts should belong to the "Bottom Stacks" fastener type. As to washers, usually, every washer can have two fastener type simultaneously, because general washer can be assembled as the bottom stack or top stack.
Here is an example to understand the effect. Consider we have a fastener assembly named "JIS-Hex Bolt/Stacks", and the configuration in Top Stacks is "Plain Washer, Normal, Grade A, JIS", which have both "Top Stacks" and "Bottom Stacks" fastener type and it means this washer can be used as a top stack or a bottom stack or both.
We added this fastener assembly to my assembly (Fig. 2), click "Add" in Configuration group row "Top Stacks" column "Action", you can see another washer of the same specification added to the top stacks(Fig. 3). Here is the point, if you change the fastener type of this washer from "Top Stacks" and "Bottom Stacks" to only "Bottom Stacks", the original washer with the same specification added in Fig. 3 would not be added in Top Stacks as it does not belong to it anymore.
