Why are frames having the same mass not treated as one in the parts list? The option 'Mass for frame uniqueness' in the parts list properties is set but still frames having the same mass are not treated as one.
Solution
These frame components are shown as different items in the parts list even though they have the same values for mass. This is a designed behavior for frame components having holes in different positions.
These need to be treated as separate components for manufacturing purposes. Thus, to improve uniqueness determination in parts lists, we check the principal moments of inertia additionally when the mass is set as uniqueness criterion for frames.
This avoids the problem (before ST3) where two frame members with same mass but with different geometry were considered as the same item.
In order to match, frames must have the same mass value and all three principal moments must be the same if the option 'Mass for frame uniqueness' is set in the parts list properties.
