Summary

Details

Is it possible to configure a Teamcenter dispatcher workflow to create JT files for the Solid Edge datasets instead of allowing the Teamcenter Integration for Solid Edge [SEEC] to create the JT files on check-in?  This is desired for improved SEEC check-in performance.

Solution

Yes, it is theoretically possible to set up a dispatcher operation within Teamcenter to create the JT files for the Solid Edge datasets instead of allowing the Teamcenter Integration for Solid Edge [SEEC] to create the JT files on check-in.

However, this is *not* a recommended best practice as the dispatcher method will *not* create the JT overrides needed to represent assembly features in the Solid Edge assembly files e.g. assembly cutouts, etc.

As such, we will *not* support issues with the JT display being incorrect when using the Teamcenter dispatcher method to create the JT files of the Solid Edge datasets.

The best practice is to allow SEEC to create the JT files upon the check-in of the Solid Edge datasets through the Solid Edge interface.
