NX The Accuracy of the Analyze Utility in Tool Path Verify

After running Tool Path -> Verify on an Operation the Analyze utility is run. Though the output motion from a circle record is correct Analyze reports that there are gouges. Why are these gouges being displayed?


NX shows a .0009 deviation on the arc move when Analyze is run.


In contrast, notice that a linear move shows 0 deviation.

Solution

The Tool Path -> Verify -> Analyze utility is intended to be used as an approximate overview. This is caused by the built-in accuracy limitations of a faceted IPW. The Gouge Check utility is much more accurate and is the suggested mechanism to use for this report.
