A user wants to have a callout annotation showing a custom property such as ''Manufacturer, Supplier, supplied by' or similar for all their parts in the drawing. They are not sure about the wording and spelling and also do not know if all parts include this property.
When placing the property text they select the option 'From graphic connection to Part' and look for 'Manufacturer, Supplier, supplied by' or similar but they do not see such a custom property.
If they then select the option 'Named reference' they can see the custom property 'Supplier' but using that property results in the property text
%{Supplier/CP|wobble_pump.asm:PIN.par} which works for the pin part inside pump.asm only.
Solution
After the selection of the desired custom property you can easily edit the named reference and make it a graphic connection to part by replacing
wobble_pump.asm:PIN.par with
GP.
Edit
%{Supplier/CP|wobble_pump.asm:PIN.par} to
%{Supplier/CP|GP}
This enables you to place the needed annotation for all parts in one callout command by selecting one part after the other.
Notes and References
All property text can always be edited as needed without the need to select an existing property first. If the user knows the exact name of the custom property they could simply key-in
%{Supplier/CP|GP}.Hardware/Software Configuration
