Solid Edge Assembly parts not highlighted when selected in Pathfinder

I have a large assembly.  When selecting some parts in the Pathfinder, they are not physically highlighted in the graphic screen until I rotate the assembly.

Solution

Check whether 'Large Assembly Performance' is turned ON (Home tab -> Modes):

If so, toggle it OFF - this should now allow the parts to be highlighted when selected in the Pathfinder:
