NX Lack of 'Depth Reference' option in Dimple dialog menu

In NX1872-series the Depth Reference option in the sheet metal Dimple menu is missing.


How to restore it?

Solution

In NX1872 Functional Release an improvement of the Dimple command was introduced where the dimple depth is consistently calculated the same way regardless of which side of the sheet metal workpiece (tab) the dimple outline sketch is placed on.
The depth is now calculated from the side of the tab facing the dimple direction and to the outside bottom of the dimple.

As a result of this improvement the Depth Reference option have been removed.
