When creating and saving a new object to in SEEC the "Save to Existing" button is greyed out in the Common Properties Dialog (CPD). Why?
Solution
Notice in the image of the CPD above that that the "Item ID" field is read-only.
This is because the customer has set the following TC Preference:
SEEC_MakeReadOnly_ItemID = True
This preference setting is also responsible for disabling the "Save to Existing" functionality.
