NX The On Plane Stepover option and the Multiple Passes tab are no longer Available in Contour Area

A Contour Area milling operation is created in NX CAM. Since updating to NX1872 the Stepover Applied -> On Plane option and the Cutting Parameters -> Multiple Passes tab are no longer available. What happened to these menu options? The pictures below show what the menus looked like before upgrading to NX1872 and what they look like after.

Solution

The Stepover Applied -> On Plane option was removed from the Contour Area operation in NX1872. This was done because this operation is considered a finishing operation and Multiple Passes are considered a relevant option for roughing and not finishing. A Customer Default was added to turn this back on, though. Further, Multiple Passes are not supported when Stepover Applied is set to On Part. For this reason this tab is hidden from the dialog.
