Tecnomatix Process Simulate Motion Capture Hand Posturing

User is trying to get the human manikins to have a certain hand pose from the Human Posturing library. They are using Vicon to connect to someone in a motion capture suit. Whenever they try to set a hand posture, it is automatically overwritten. 

Is there a way of having the manikins keep a hand posture at all times while Vicon is connected?
They also want to be able to use Follow the Leader to have other manikins have the same hand posture. 

Solution

Assuming there are no data (tracking) gloves involved (you can have gloves on the manikin);
 
Try these steps:
Set up Vicon software as needed.
Open MoCap Vicon dialog in PS and connect.
Select Jack/Jill figure & Constrain.
Once you confirm, the figure will move with mocap data...
Open Human Posturing dialog -> Posture Library tab.
Select and apply a hand posture.
Start moving the human via Vicon data.
The selected hand posture should stay applied.


The figure that is being postured via MoCap should be the Leader. 
The follower will simply mimic the joint angles of the Leader, which will include the hand posture.
