Summary

Details

In the Expressions dialog, multiplying two expressions results in the following error:
Area was found where Length was expected

Solution

One or both of the expressions needs to have their dimensionality set to 'Constant'.

  1. In the Menu, select 'Tools-->Expressions'.
  2. Locate the expressions in the list.
Note their dimensionality. It may be set to 'Length' which is the default dimensionality.
  3. MouseButton3 in the dimensionality cell for that expression, and set it to 'Constant'.
  4. OK the dialog and exit expressions.
Now when multiplying the dimensions there will no longer be an error.
